I haven't written in this journal for the longest time, because I never know what to write about. I don't know how to express what I'm really feeling...but certain people around here seem to know immediately, even without me saying a word.
One of those people is reading my journal right now.
I feel...like I don't have a place here. Like, I have a room, and a place to be, but that's all. The only other room I feel comfortable in, other than my room, is Lita's office.
She makes me think of how I've always envisioned my mother someone. Who, I don't know.
Sometimes, I really miss Sophie. It's been over a year since she's been here, but...I always think about her.

Everyone keeps leaving.
I guess I should have known it would happen sooner or later. People can't stay in places like this forever, right? It'd be kind of sad if they did. I can't imagine spending my entire life in a mental hospital. But going by how things have been, I just might. I'll probably get out of here soon, too.
I wonder where they went. Light and Sophie, I mean. Maybe they were just moved somewhere else.
But why? Light's been gone for a while, but they just took Sophie away Sophie just left a little while ago. Didn't even get to say bye or anything Glad I got to at least say bye to her. That would have sucked.
I've spent a lot of time keeping myself busy. Now that I don't have a roomate or a girlfriend or a friend around here, I've been practicing the guitar again. I've gotten pretty good, actually. I haven't left my room much, except to go to lunch or dinner. I've just been playing. It keeps me busy. Helps the time move faster.
I hate it here. I'm starting to like it here.

I kind of miss home, sometimes.
I miss my things more than anything. Especially my guitar.
Well, it's not like I'm obsessed with it or anything, but I made it when I was younger in my Dad's shop. I played it a lot, all the time actually, but one day when my Dad was upset with me, he cut the strings the strings broke one day. I never got them replaced. I don't think I've played since I was 13 or something. I was pretty good.
I'm probably horrible by now. I don't know many songs.
This is such a random entry, I'm realizing this now as I re-read it. I guess it doesn't really matter though, right? As long as I'm writing something.
That's about it.

So, my Dad wrote to me.
He just wanted to know how I was doing.
They probably read it before they sent it to me, to make sure it was alright.
Maybe I should write back.
But I don't really know what to say to him.

I don't know what's wrong with me lately. I actually have to force myself not to write that stupid phrase over and over again in my journal. I slipped and wrote about a page and a half the other day haven't written it since I've been here. But why do I still feel like I need to write it? I hated it. At times I hated him for making me do it. I never hated him for making me do it, I just didn't like it. It made my hand cramp up.
I would sometimes write an extra page when I had lied a lot that day, because I felt a little bit guilty...not about lying to them but about lying to him but I don't know why. He always noticed. Then he'd just make me write two more. He never noticed.
So why do I miss him so much? I'm fine here.
